Exhibiting at the Edward Hopper House Art Center
The Hopper House Art Center selects exhibits through the Gallery Selection Committee. This volunteer committee is an eclectic group of professional artists and/or curators. It is an ever-changing mix of individuals, with new members joining and others retiring each year. The group meets approximately three times per year to review artist material.
Many factors are involved in the selection process, so please keep this in mind as you send in slides/CDs for review. Exhibits are scheduled approximately 12-18 months in advance. There are approximately ten shows per year, including the following annual or biennial exhibits:
- Members’ Exhibit and Sale
- Biennial juried photography show
- Outdoor sculpture show
- National juried Small Matters of Great Importance
- Book Fair
You are welcome to participate in these shows by following the guidelines for each show.
In order to review your art for the remaining four to six annual slots, we need the following:
- Ten slides or images on CD of the work you would exhibit at the Hopper House. Please include your name and slide/image number on each
- Resume and statement
- SASE for the return of your slides or material
- A slide/CD identification list including title, size, medium, and slide/image number.
Exhibitions are generally scheduled for two or three artists at one time and all media is considered.
Thank you for your interest in exhibiting at the Hopper House Art Center. We look forward to reviewing your material.
