The Hopper Room Currently on view in one of our galleries is a series of photographs highlighting the life of Edward Hopper (1882-1967). Also on view is the Edward Hopper's bicycle: "As he walked through the boat yards, wandered along the Hudson or rode his bicycle throughout the country, his eyes were gazing on scenes that would be imprinted indelibly on his mind." Arthayer R. Sanborn, South of the Mountains, 1982. With this permanent yet evolving exhibit we celebrate Nyack's most important son and his intimate connection to this historic home that helped shape his vision. |
